So far All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) completed 572 trainings covering 21098 participants and 31 subjects across 14 states and union territories of India and neighborhood countries including Bangladesh, Maldives and Myanmar. This achievement is mainly due to increasing demand for such trainings from the range of communities since 2001 after Gujarat earthquake and AIDMI’s flexible and community focused trainings methods and tools evolved across nine disasters and ten years.
