After analysing AIDMI's activities, it is now clearer why is AIDMI considered an important actor in disaster risk management in South Asia. While working particularly close with poor and vulnerable groups elsewhere excluded the organization is compromised to keep this level of action. In addition, it always works based on the five priorities for action agreed upon through the HFA and with a special focus on the excluded.
India is repeatedly hit by disasters and one can be sure that hazards will occur in the coming years. For example; we know floods will come, when they will come and whom they will affect. Thus, an increased focus on preparedness is crucial for AIDMI. This will happen by empowering local communities through institutional structures and trainings.
