"Use knowledge, innovation and education to build a culture of safety and resilience at all levels".
This is the third priority of Hyogo Framework for Action for which information and motivation are the main tools to reduce vulnerability. UN-ISDR emphasises in its mission and objectives that the greater the public awareness is on risk understanding, vulnerability and disaster reduction, the more disaster reduction measures will be able to be put into vigour. Several activities can be undertaken in order to strengthen information acquirement, such as educational trainings or information sharing through dialogue and cooperation among disaster experts. AIDMI has been especially active on creating this desired culture of safety through spreading knowledge in different forms.
